Founded in 2003, by Dan Guachione, Curve Pictures has
been brewing for some time. Dan has been building a
photography portfolio as well as a motion picture reel
and credit list since around 1992. The photography portfolio
is mostly as an amateur photographer but has dabbled
in shooting wedding videos for friends. As natural light
and candid photographer Dan has prided himself as someone
who shoots what he sees as it happens. 99 percent of
the photos he has taken, the subjects did not know they
were having a photo taken of them. All of his photos
have been taken with no adjustment in lighting sources.
There are very few that even were taken using a flash.
Dan has spent most of his years as a boom operator.
This has kept him close to the action. As a Civil engineer
major in college, problem solving came easy for him
and quite handy doing his job as a boom operator. Boom
operators need to be conscious at all times of camera
movement, lens size, dialog changes and lighting focus.
That being said Dan has learned all aspects of the film
making process.
Over the years Dan has worked with some great directors
and photographers and has learned from their successes
and also their failures. With this obtained knowledge
he has set off to produce and direct his own material.
In an effort to keep up with the internet and the direction
of where the advertising business is going, the company
has chosen to go off in a somewhat different direction.
Curve Pictures will now produce “short films”
for companies that are in need of website content and
help in advertising. If your company has ever sent salespeople
off to do a pitch to land any kind of account then Curve
Pictures should be your first call. Curve’s first
client was Puma. Puma came to Curve with a request to
help them land an account with a company called Eurosport.
Eurosport is an international online retail company
that sells Puma products through their catalog. Curve
Pictures came up with an idea to incorporate humor and
a short film into Puma’s sales presentation to
Eurosport. They sat the Eurosport people down to watch
the short film before their powerpoint presentation.
The results were great with both the Eurosport and Puma
people agreeing to a ten million dollar plan for business
though 2010. The Puma people cited the Curve Pictures
produced video was a key factor in the deal.
Curve Pictures is a one stop shop. We will write and
produce a video for you for whatever the need is. In
house sales, sprucing up your website, or a simple training
video. We will make it something that people will want
to watch instead of having your clients bored with the
same old interview/cut away to b-roll boring video.
We promise…. Just ask our previous clients. |
